Gilles Duceppe, someone needs to take this man to a fancy strip club in downtown Montreal and buy him a drink, a dance and a cab. It's hard to believe that Quebeckers aren't carrying him through the streets right now cheering his name.
Think about it, he has managed to get the separatist party into a (probable) governing coalition running the country. This has got to be the ultimate achievement, outside of actual separation from Canada. And the best part is, it's even good for federalist Quebeckers, because they have all the power and are still part of Canada.
Sure, Gilles signed on for 1.5 years, but that was as short as the others would allow in order for it to happen. Don't be fooled, once that 1.5 year deal expires, he's going to make it very, very hard for the NDP-Liberal coalition to continue in power without giving a little extra sumthn' sumthn' to Quebec, all quebeckers, not just the Bloc. That's the beauty of the bloc, no matter if you support them or not, everyone in la belle province benefits from what they have pulled off.
Once that deal expires, Gilles is going to take Layton and Dion by the balls and mutter in an evil French accent
:
"Listen here boys, this is how it's gonna work from now on... "
"Or we could always arrange to have you go back to being the opposition, if thats what you would rather".
