This is an excellent point...but does Harper have the restraint to make it?
Where the Tories might find a receptive audience is by emphasizing the dangers of an unstable and experimental government at a time of global economic crisis. They should be arguing, above all else, that this is no time for a prime minister and his cabinet to be learning on the job; no time for a government being pulled in three very different directions; and yes, no time to be disproportionately advancing the interests of one province over the other nine.- Adam Radwanski
Harper needs not to look back 6 weeks at his own election, but rather look back 6 weeks at Obama's election. What was Obama doing? He was arguing that it was time for stability, unity and bi-partisanship. Harper should come forward with a proposal to reach out to the coalition and build a new economic vision for Canada. If he doesn't make this point, Dion will make it for himself.
